About The Position

The Fresh Cut Clerk maintains the fresh cut produce department so guests can find fresh fruit and vegetable products and platters. The role involves monitoring stock and cooler conditions, producing and replenishing products, providing helpful guest service, keeping work and sales areas clean, and maintaining quality and food safety standards. This position may be part-time or full-time; the posting identifies this opening as part-time.

Requirements

• Effectively communicate with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates, using strong written and verbal skills to work with a crew in a fast-paced environment.
• Understand safety requirements and company safety policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
• Ability to use power jacks, walk-behind lifts, WAVs, balers, and compactors.
• Ability to stand in place for long periods, walk around the store, work in a cooler, and bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
• Full range of upper-body motion to lift products and ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
• Functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store, create displays, and operate equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate fresh cut department stock by observing sales floor and cooler conditions, producing products, and stocking and replenishing as needed.
• Provide outstanding service to guests, help them find products, and take initiative to resolve concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Organize and sanitize work areas, shelving, and sales floors as needed.
• Meet quality standards, maintain accurate food safety logs, and meet quantity expectations by 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• Attend work regularly and on time in accordance with the schedule, and provide adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
