About The Position
Bella Baby Photography is hiring an on-site, in-hospital Fresh 48 Photographer and Sales Consultant in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The role coordinates short newborn photo sessions, minimally edits images on-site, and presents and sells photo packages to families. Photographers work in hospital rooms with families shortly after delivery and must safely pose and handle newborns. The position offers regular training and support, as well as opportunities to connect with photographers across the country. Estimated commission sales are $500–$1,000 twice monthly, with additional tips and performance- and seniority-based bonuses. This is a part-time position, typically 2–3 days per week. Schedules include at least one weekday and one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday), are posted six weeks in advance, and may vary based on business needs and daily births. The typical start time is 9 AM, with the day planned to end at 5 PM; hours may change based on births. Some holidays are required. Employment is contingent on passing a background check and drug screen. Employment is at will.
Requirements
- DSLR or mirrorless camera with at least 18 MP; phone cameras are not accepted.
- Laptop with at least 513 GB of storage and 16 GB of memory.
- Adobe Lightroom Classic.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs of equipment.
- Willingness to update vaccination records if existing records cannot be provided.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Availability to work 2–3 days per week, including at least one weekday and one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday); some holidays are required.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and lead several same-day, 15-minute newborn photo sessions.
- Safely pose and handle newborns during photo sessions.
- Minimally edit photos on-site using Adobe Lightroom Classic.
- Present photo packages to families and complete in-person sales.
