About The Position
Club Z! Tutoring is seeking private French language tutors for immediate placement to support elementary and middle school students in learning and improving their French language fluency skills. This is an in-person, one-on-one tutoring position. Tutors will work with students using their school's French curriculum and other support materials to improve grades and academic confidence. Most tutoring sessions occur after school hours. Club Z! Tutoring has been a trusted leader in education for over 28 years, focusing on matching highly talented tutors with students based on individual needs.
Requirements
- Candidates must live in the Greater Chevy Chase, Silver Spring, Kensington, or Bethesda, MD areas.
- Two years or more of previous teaching/tutoring experience
- College degree and/or Certification.
- A French academic and cultural background.
- Kindness and patience - excellent communication skills and a friendly personality.
- A commitment to teaching.
- Reliable and dependable.
Responsibilities
- Taking the time to learn and understand your student's personality, learning style, and academic challenges.
- Developing a learning plan to accomplish specified academic goals and objectives.
- Effectively communicating with student parents/caregivers and Club Z! program staff on the student's progress.
