About The Position

Language Trainers is seeking a freelance French Teacher to provide one-to-one general French language training to an elementary-level student aged 65 or over in St. Louis, United States. The course consists of 20 total hours, with two-hour sessions once per week on Wednesday afternoons. Lessons will take place at the teacher’s home or at a mutually convenient public location near the client’s ZIP code, 63130. The student spends part of the year in France and wants to communicate more effectively with people there. The schedule and location may be flexible based on availability. The hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. The preferred start date is September 23, 2026, or as soon as possible.

Requirements

• Be a native French speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
• Have experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
• Have a valid work permit or visa.
• Live within 20 miles of the specified location.

Responsibilities
