About The Position

Five Below is hiring a seasonal Freight Crew associate for a position listed with a 10 p.m.–6 a.m. schedule. The role supports store operations and customer service by helping shoppers, sharing product information, supporting sales and promotions, addressing customer concerns, and coordinating with management and coworkers. The position involves frequent use of store devices, merchandise handling and stocking, ladder use, and movement throughout the sales floor and stock room. The posted starting rate is $11.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Available to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including day, evening, weekend, and potentially overnight shifts; travel may be required.
Comfortable using technology such as computers, cash registers, hand-held devices, and mobile devices, or willing to learn.
Good communication skills and ability to engage with customers.
Ability to handle customer interactions and potential issues courteously and professionally.
Basic information-gathering skills for problem-solving.
Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training.
Able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
Able to communicate and exchange accurate information with customers, managers, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers promptly, acknowledging them and helping multiple customers efficiently.
Assess customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing customers to merchandise, and making recommendations.
Use suggestive selling and stay informed about product availability.
Inform customers about store events, promotions, and special activities.
Address customer concerns and use product knowledge to offer solutions, including exchanges where possible.
Inform management about restocking needs, service requirements, and customer feedback.
Collaborate with the team to support store and company goals and maintain a positive, productive work environment.
Operate cash registers, computers, hand-held devices, phones, walkies, and mobile devices.
Move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds and place or retrieve merchandise at heights of 5–10 feet.
Use ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
Move throughout the sales floor and stock room to assist customers and retrieve or put away merchandise.
Read and understand email and printed instructions about merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
