About The Position

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring a Freight Clerk to provide administrative support to customers and operations at its distribution center in Oswego, Illinois. The role helps ensure business requirements are consistently met by performing clerical duties on the warehouse floor. The schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 4:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with eligibility for a monthly bonus of up to $1.05 per hour.

Requirements

• Be detail-oriented and demonstrate business-analysis skills and/or a track record of successfully executing company standards.
• Effectively communicate, interact, and convey business decisions with people at different levels within the organization.
• Have knowledge of receiving, shipping, inventory systems, supply chain management, logistics, customer service, reporting, system analysis, equipment, and warehouse functionality.
• Demonstrate success maintaining quality, service, and client relationships in a fast-paced setting.
• Have strong computer skills, including demonstrated competency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process paperwork for live and drop appointments before appointments arrive.
• Sign bills based on the quantity received.
• Generate paperwork for add-on appointments and drop trailers.
• Account for product shortages or damages on bills of lading (BOLs).
• Ensure bills are stamped for shipments received and refused.
• Handle ocean and international billing and document tracking.
• Track and report trailer dispatches in a timely manner.
• Prepare receiving packets.
• Forward OS&D information in a timely manner.
• Support administrative staff as required.
