Swing Shift Freight Clerk
About The Position
Bi-Mart is hiring an organized and energetic Freight Clerk to join its Receiving team. The role supports a high level of customer service and helps create a welcoming shopping experience. Duties may also include inventory replenishment, stocking, cashiering, and merchandise maintenance. Daily tasks can include unloading delivery trucks safely and quickly, handling merchandise accurately, storing it in the backroom, and restocking the sales floor. This position operates outside normal business hours, with four 10-hour overnight shifts; hours and days may vary by location, workload, and assignment.
Requirements
- Communicate well verbally and in writing.
- Arrive on time with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Be precise, set priorities, and organize workload.
- Solve problems efficiently and offer solutions to customers.
- Engage with and assist a variety of individuals.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a cashier, sales associate, bagger, warehouse worker, or in another retail position.
- Experience at retail brands such as Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, or Albertsons.
Responsibilities
- Unload delivery trucks quickly and safely.
- Handle merchandise accurately, including storing it in the backroom and restocking the sales floor.
- Replenish inventory and stock merchandise.
- Perform cashiering duties as needed.
- Maintain merchandise.
- Promote and deliver a high degree of customer service and friendliness.
- Assist customers and help create a positive shopping experience.
