About The Position

The Freezer/Cooler/Deli associate supports the operations and sanitary conditions of the freezer and cooler areas, keeps products available and ready for members, and provides customer service in the deli. The role includes stocking and displaying products, maintaining food quality and temperature controls, and keeping work areas clean and sanitized. Associates follow company safety, food-handling, and cold-chain procedures; operate, clean, and sanitize equipment; and report operational or safety issues to management. The position also involves helping members locate merchandise, make purchasing decisions, and resolve concerns. Requirements

Responsibilities

Maintain facility safety by following safety standards and procedures, conducting safety sweeps, following forklift-spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials properly, following steel guidelines, and correcting or reporting unsafe situations to management.
Maintain sales-floor presentation in the Freezer/Cooler/Deli area by handling claims and returns, zoning, receiving and stocking merchandise, setting up and cleaning displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, completing audits and required documentation, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
Provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying their needs, locating merchandise, assisting with purchasing decisions, providing deli products, resolving concerns, and promoting company products and services.
Follow company policies and procedures for freezer and cooler areas, including food-handling policies and Cold Chain procedures.
Operate, repair, and sanitize equipment; clean the freezer, cooler, and deli area, including windows, mirrors, display cases, and coolers.
Monitor freezer and cooler fans, drains, and doors for proper operation and report issues to management.
Maintain product quality and availability by checking temperature controls and expiration dates and disposing of lower-quality food products.
Pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays.
Keep the work area clean, sanitized, and ready for members.
Work collaboratively, communicate positively, help develop and mentor others, and support continuous improvement and changes in work practices.
