About The Position

The Freezer/Cooler/Deli associate helps maintain product quality, availability, and sanitary conditions in the freezer, cooler, and deli areas. The role includes stocking shelves and displays, maintaining temperature controls and food safety, preparing ready-to-sell products in appropriate containers, and keeping the work area clean and member-ready. In the deli, the associate provides customer service by helping members with products and purchasing decisions and resolving concerns. Associates follow company safety and food-handling procedures, maintain merchandise presentation, monitor equipment, complete required documentation, and report unsafe conditions or equipment problems to management. The role also calls for teamwork, integrity, adaptability, continuous learning, and a focus on members and customers.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period if hired.

Responsibilities

Follow facility safety standards and procedures, conduct safety sweeps, use proper forklift-spotting procedures, handle and dispose of hazardous materials properly, and report or correct unsafe situations.
Maintain sales-floor and merchandise presentation in the freezer, cooler, and deli areas by handling claims and returns, zoning, receiving and stocking merchandise, setting up and cleaning displays, removing damaged goods, and signing and pricing merchandise.
Complete required audits, paperwork, logs, and other documentation, and secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, locating merchandise, assisting with purchasing decisions, providing deli products, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
Follow food-handling policies and Cold Chain procedures; operate, repair, and sanitize equipment; and clean the freezer, cooler, and deli areas, including windows, mirrors, display cases, and coolers.
Monitor freezer and cooler fans, drains, and doors for proper operation and report issues to management.
Maintain temperature control, verify expiration dates, and dispose of lower-quality food products.
Pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays.
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and member-ready work area.
Work collaboratively, communicate positively, support and mentor others, and contribute to a respectful and inclusive workplace.
