About The Position

Perle is seeking a freelance transcriptionist fluent in Welsh for a remote transcription role. This is a paid contract position open to qualified contributors worldwide. The role involves transcribing 2-speaker, channel-separated audio recordings in Welsh, producing clean, accurate, sequentially ordered transcripts with speaker labels and timestamps.

Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in Welsh (spoken and written).
• Strong written Welsh — accurate spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• Ability to work independently and meet daily output targets.
• Access to a computer with a stable internet connection.
• Availability for at least 4 hours per day.
• Pass a qualification test.

Nice To Haves

• Prior transcription experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe 2-speaker, channel-separated audio recordings in Welsh.
• Type out what each speaker says, accurately and in full.
• Label each speaker turn as Speaker 1 or Speaker 2, matching the audio channel.
• Add timestamps at the start of each speaker turn (format: HH:MM:SS).
• Ensure transcripts are sequential with no unexplained gaps.
