About The Position

Mercier Consultancy Group is seeking a motivated and experienced Freelance Recruiter to join their network in the Recruitment & Staffing sector, operating remotely from within China. This role offers the freedom to manage your own recruitment desk with the support of Mercier Consultancy Group's brand, resources, and global client network. It is ideal for English-speaking recruitment professionals looking for flexible, high-impact work in China's dynamic market.

Requirements

• Native or fluent English language proficiency, both spoken and written, is essential.
• Experience in recruitment, ideally within the Recruitment & Staffing industry or a related professional services environment.
• Must be able to follow a 1-day training in Beijing as part of the onboarding process with Mercier Consultancy Group.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple recruitment assignments simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of candidate and client care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionals at all levels.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment within China.
• Proficiency with digital recruitment tools, applicant tracking systems, and professional networking platforms.

Responsibilities

• Source, attract, and engage high-calibre candidates across a wide range of industries and functions using multiple recruitment channels, including job boards, LinkedIn, and professional networks.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from initial candidate identification through to offer management and successful placement, in line with Mercier Consultancy Group's standards.
• Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline by proactively headhunting talent within the Recruitment & Staffing market and adjacent sectors.
• Conduct thorough candidate screening, competency-based interviews, and professional assessments to ensure the highest quality of shortlisted profiles.
• Develop and nurture lasting relationships with both candidates and clients, positioning yourself as a trusted recruitment partner in the market.
• Collaborate with the wider Mercier Consultancy Group team to align on client briefs, role requirements, and placement strategies.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all candidate and client interactions within the company's recruitment management system.
• Stay informed of market trends, talent availability, and competitor activity within the Recruitment & Staffing industry to provide strategic insight to clients and candidates alike.
