Free CNA Training Class
About The Position
Waters Edge is providing free Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training through the ASC Nurse Aide Training Program. The program requires no prior experience and is intended for people committed to providing compassionate care to residents. Training lasts two weeks and includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 45 hours of hands-on clinical training, supported by ASC instructors, nurses, and CNAs. After completing the program and testing, participants can apply for CNA positions at American Senior Communities locations in Indiana. Talent Acquisition Partners can assist with applying to one of the communities. The program also offers pathways for advancing a nursing career.
Requirements
- No previous experience is required.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
- Complete the two-week training program, including 30 hours of classroom instruction and 45 hours of hands-on clinical training.
- Complete the CNA program and testing.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, oral hygiene, and shaving.
- Help residents at mealtimes, including accompanying them to the dining room and assisting with eating and drinking.
- Reposition and transfer residents between beds, wheelchairs, and toilets.
- Obtain and record resident vital signs and observations.
- Answer call lights and assist with resident requests.
- Provide companionship and build meaningful relationships with residents.
