About The Position

Global Payments is seeking a Fraud Operations Director to join its Enterprise team and help shape global commerce. The director oversees fraud operations and a high-performing processing team, using data-driven analysis, statistical methods, and predictive modeling to identify fraudulent transactions and improve merchant fraud portfolio performance. The role also advances reporting capabilities, collaborates with Ravelin Technologies on fraud-model improvements, and develops fraud-prevention plans. It includes responsibility for disaster recovery, backup processes, and cost-center budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Extensive knowledge of processing operations, administration, controls, and all processing phases.
• Experience leading teams, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Strong project-management capabilities, including managing budgets, timelines, and multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders across organizational levels.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, R, and Power BI.
• Extensive knowledge of big data handling and projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team that analyzes and proactively identifies fraudulent transactions using data-driven techniques, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Continuously measure and improve merchant fraud portfolio performance by reducing false positives while maintaining high detection rates.
• Manage ongoing development of dashboards and Power BI visuals to improve reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with technical partners at Ravelin Technologies to prioritize refinements and new features in the Ravelin fraud model.
• Develop and execute tactical and strategic fraud-prevention innovation plans using historical authorization and fraud data.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the processing team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Oversee disaster recovery, backup processes, and cost-center budgets.
