Requirements

  • 5+ years of banking experience or related work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equal experience
  • Problem solving skills necessary with ability to define problems and propose solutions.
  • Analytical skills to be able to review information and use critical thinking to make decisions.
  • Good understanding of banking center process, procedures, and systems.
  • Good understanding of operations activities of the Bank.
  • Ability to utilize intermediate Excel, Word, and PPT.
  • Good communication skills both oral and written.
  • Ability to present recommendations verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Thoroughness in performing work duties.
  • Ability to multi-task and change direction frequently.

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting background and skills a plus.
  • Expertise in Excel to be able to use functions to solve problems, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing transactional information and alert reports to identify fraudulent activity.
  • Utilizing critical thinking to determine if action is required on alerts such as identifying unusual behavior, executing mitigating procedures, reviewing complex situations under the direction of the Fraud Prevention & Monitoring Manager, and making decisions or escalating if there is potential for client impact.
  • Reviewing alerts daily and being able to identify unusual behavior, perform proper mitigations, and escalate concerns, as needed.
  • Performing a critical role in utilizing tools for fraud risk monitoring, anomaly detection and reporting, including log-in alerts as well as transactional alerts.
  • Understanding and assisting in the development of monitoring processes for transactional and login alerts.
  • Initiating mitigation procedures such as account restrictions or temporary holds on wires or ACH if suspicious activity is identified.
  • Collaborating with various departments if suspected fraud occurs.
  • Utilizing critical thinking to determine the root cause of an issue and working with others to mitigate the risk identified.
  • Recommending analytical tuning as identified.
