About The Position

We are looking for a Fractional HR Generalist to work with our clients, helping them to build and write company handbooks, ensure compliance, and serve as additional HR support for their businesses. As a fractional partner, your goal is to provide ongoing HR support to clients utilizing the HR pillar of our business.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, employee relations, or people operations
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance and employment practices
  • Experience supporting multiple clients or small to mid-sized organizations preferred
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with sound judgment and discretion
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience building HR processes, policies, and documentation from the ground up

Nice To Haves

  • PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SCP preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a dedicated HR resource for advising on complex employee situations and compliance-related inquiries
  • Provide guidance on HR best practices, risk mitigation, and employment law considerations
  • Support I-9 and W-4 audit processes and compliance reviews
  • Design and execute exit interview processes, including reporting insights
  • Develop and implement performance management policies and procedures
  • Draft offer letters and coordinate background screening processes
  • Launch and manage onboarding packets for new hires
  • Create customized new hire orientation materials (e.g., presentations)
  • Develop onboarding checklists to ensure a consistent and positive employee experience
  • Build structured offboarding processes, including termination checklists and procedures
  • Draft termination letters and ensure completion of state-required separation documentation
  • Create and customize separation communications
  • Provide support with unemployment claims
  • Develop and maintain employee handbooks tailored to client needs
  • Create and standardize time-off procedures for both W-2 and 1099 team members
  • Design progressive discipline policies, procedures, and supporting documentation
  • Ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability across HR processes
