About The Position

The Autism Treatment Center is actively recruiting a FPS Caseworker. The Family Partner Specialist (FPS) serves as a liaison between families, clinical staff, and community resources to ensure children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) receive comprehensive, coordinated care. The FPS provides family support, case management, advocacy, education, and resource coordination to help families navigate treatment services and achieve positive outcomes for their children. The role emphasizes family-centered care, collaboration, and empowerment throughout the treatment process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, Special Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, behavioral health services, or family support programs.
  • Experience in case management, family advocacy, or community resource coordination preferred.
  • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of community resources and support systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned families receiving autism treatment services.
  • Conduct intake interviews and gather information regarding family needs, strengths, and concerns.
  • Assist families in understanding treatment recommendations, goals, and available services.
  • Coordinate care among behavior analysts, therapists, physicians, schools, and community agencies.
  • Connect families with community resources, support groups, financial assistance programs, and educational services.
  • Advocate for family and client needs during treatment planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Monitor client progress and maintain regular communication with caregivers regarding treatment participation and outcomes.
  • Provide parent education, coaching, and support related to autism, behavior management, and service navigation.
  • Assist families with scheduling appointments, referrals, authorizations, and service coordination.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Participate in case reviews, treatment team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support crisis intervention efforts and facilitate referrals when additional services are needed.
  • Promote family engagement and participation in treatment programs.
