This position assists classroom staff with children at various times of the day, providing breaks, general cleaning, and prepping spaces for meal service in all classrooms. The role involves filling in classrooms as needed, providing lunch/courtesy breaks, assisting with food preparation, service, and inventory, and completing assigned cleaning tasks. The Floater ensures Quality Standards of Care for Early Childhood programs are met, directly supervises children at all times, and works cooperatively with parents and staff to maintain a positive atmosphere. They must stay informed of children's records to ensure authorized pick-up, actively engage with children, and maintain required staff/child ratios, reporting any discrepancies immediately. The role also includes completing progress notes and other documentation, maintaining current certifications in Infant/Toddler CPR, First Aid, and Infection Control, and serving as a First Responder for Preschool. Accurate timesheet submission, participation in staff meetings, and attendance at required training activities are also key responsibilities. Additional duties may include car rider duties, morning/after care, and bus loading/unloading. The position requires assisting with and attending parent functions, reporting any signs of abuse/neglect to a supervisor, and adhering to the FCC Policy/Procedures manual and minimum licensing requirements.
