This position assists classroom staff with children at various times of the day, providing breaks, general cleaning, and prepping spaces for meal service in all classrooms. The role involves filling in classrooms as needed, providing lunch/courtesy breaks, and assisting with food preparation, service, and inventory. The Floater is responsible for completing assigned cleaning tasks, assuring Quality Standards of Care for Early Childhood programs are met, and directly supervising children at all times. This role requires working cooperatively with parents and staff to ensure a positive atmosphere, staying informed of children's records to ensure authorized pick-up, and actively engaging with children. Maintaining required staff/child ratios and reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor immediately is crucial. The position also involves completing required progress notes and documentation, maintaining current certifications in Infant/Toddler CPR, First Aid, and Infection Control, and serving as a First Responder for Preschool. Accurate timesheet submission, participation in staff meetings, and attendance at required training activities are also key responsibilities. The role may include additional duties such as car rider supervision, morning/after care, and bus loading/unloading, as well as assisting with and attending parent functions. Reporting any signs of abuse or neglect to a supervisor promptly and following the chain of command are essential. Adherence to FCC Policy/Procedures manual, minimum licensing requirements, and all DHS regulations is mandatory.
