About The Position

This is a long-term contract/permanent possible position for an FPGA Design and Verification Engineer. The role requires a candidate to be based in the US, holding US Citizenship or a Green Card. The engineer will be responsible for developing complex FPGA-based digital designs using SoCs with embedded processing and high-speed interfaces, performing FPGA verification and documentation, and translating system-level requirements into FPGA design specifications. The position also involves creating modular, reusable IP, supporting debug and defect resolution, and driving best practices for design quality and development processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years developing complex FPGA-based digital designs using SoCs with embedded processing, high-speed interfaces, and custom IP
  • Ability to read schematics and apply verification methodologies
  • Experience with ARM-based systems, build tools (make, git), and CI/CD
  • Experience with Questa, Vivado, and Github Actions
  • Experience with FPGA, firmware, and embedded system testing
  • Xilinx design (Block Design, AXI IP) and custom IP integration
  • SystemVerilog, Python, TCL, Bash
  • Knowledge of embedded protocols (I2C, QSPI, UART, PCIe, etc.)
  • Familiar with BMC management and protocols (IPMI, MCTP, PLDM, Redfish)

Responsibilities

  • Develop complex FPGA-based digital designs using SoCs with embedded processing, high-speed interfaces, and custom IP
  • Perform FPGA verification and documentation
  • Read schematics and apply verification methodologies
  • Translate system-level requirements into FPGA design specifications
  • Write high-quality SystemVerilog to meet performance, quality, and schedule targets
  • Develop and execute test and verification strategies for FPGA designs
  • Drive best practices for design quality, development processes, and continuous improvement
  • Create modular, reusable, synthesizable and verification IP for current and future projects
  • Support debug and defect resolution, including validation, logging, and root-cause analysis
