About The Position

Unlimited Technology is hiring a hands-on FP&A Senior Manager to lead financial planning and analysis for a rapidly growing, private equity–backed security systems integrator. The company is currently a $150 million business and is targeting $250 million within the next twelve months, supported by organic expansion and M&A. The role has direct access to the CFO, executive management, and private equity investors, and offers board-level visibility and involvement in acquisition diligence and integration. The Senior Manager will drive financial insights, improve reporting, and support business decisions. There are no direct reports currently, but the position is expected to expand as the company grows, with the opportunity to build and lead a team. The role partners closely with the CFO, Controller, General Managers, Operations leadership, the Service Director, and other executives. It includes ownership of reporting, forecasting, analytics infrastructure, and the use of technology and AI to improve processes. The business uses percentage-of-completion revenue recognition; experience in project-based, multi-branch services and familiarity with work-in-process schedules are preferred. This is a fully remote position for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zone. The stated pay range is $140,000–$180,000 USD.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
At least six years of FP&A experience, including at least three years as an FP&A lead in a project-based, multi-branch service business.
Strong accounting foundation.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong PowerPoint skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with limited oversight, embrace change, and pursue continuous improvement.
Exceptional organization and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities and proactively identify and resolve issues.
Curiosity and willingness to investigate data and systems to validate trends and outputs.
Effective communication with all levels of the organization, including at Board level.
Ability to build cross-functional relationships and demonstrate a professional, assertive presence.
Analytical thinking, business intuition, and ability to focus on priorities and communicate the story in data concisely.

Responsibilities

Lead the annual budgeting process and recurring forecasting cycles.
Serve as the subject matter expert for internal and external financial reporting, understand underlying data, and develop efficient reporting tools and dashboards.
Support the monthly close process, including commission accruals, payroll analysis, travel expense review, and selected balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare, analyze, and communicate financial data, including investigating significant variances.
Incorporate AI technology to streamline analysis and the closing process.
Partner with the VP of Sales to analyze customer profitability, bookings, and backlog trends.
Support Branch General Managers and Project Managers with job performance analysis and multi-branch P&L insights.
Conduct gross margin analysis to ensure proper matching of revenue and costs.
Manage labor utilization reporting and analysis in support of the COO.
Serve as liaison with private equity investors, preparing and presenting financial data.
Support financial analysis of M&A targets and assist with integration of acquired businesses.
Build out reporting, forecasting, and analytics infrastructure using current technology beyond traditional Excel models.
