About The Position

Vega is hiring an FP&A Lead to build its financial planning and analysis function from scratch. The role will establish the company's models and processes, operate the function independently during its first year, and then build and lead an FP&A team. The primary focus is partnering closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to translate pipeline activity into forecasts and financial insights into commercial decisions. The role also owns company-wide planning, fundraising models, reporting, and board materials.

Requirements

At least 8 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or investment banking followed by an operating role.
Startup experience building FP&A foundations at an early- or growth-stage company.
Fluency in SaaS metrics and unit economics.
A track record of partnering with go-to-market teams.
Experience building fundraising models and board materials relied on by leadership.
Expert-level financial modeling skills.
Ability to work hands-on independently and later lead a team.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to turn analysis into decisions.

Responsibilities

Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership on pipeline coverage, quota planning, headcount, and spending.
Own the revenue forecast and keep it aligned with go-to-market activity.
Analyze unit economics, including CAC, LTV, payback, and margin by segment.
Lead financial analysis for pricing and packaging decisions.
Build and own the company's operating model, covering revenue, headcount, and expenses across departments.
Build and maintain the fundraising model and support investor diligence.
Run the annual budget and rolling forecasts, while monitoring runway and scenario planning.
Build board materials and develop the narrative behind them.
Establish monthly reporting rhythms, variance analysis, and department budget reviews.
After about a year, hire and lead an FP&A team.
