About The Position

AccuWeather is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Intern to join our Finance team. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and eager to learn how finance drives decision-making in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling)
Familiarity with financial statements and basic accounting principles
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Previous internship or coursework in corporate finance or FP&A

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans
Support monthly financial reporting and variance analysis against budget and prior periods
Analyze revenue, expenses, and key business drivers to identify trends and insights
Build and maintain financial models in Excel to support strategic initiatives
Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Legal) to gather data and support business cases
Help automate and improve financial reporting processes and dashboards
Conduct ad hoc analysis and presentations for senior leadership
Perform other duties as assigned in support of financial planning and analysis activities
