About The Position

Wabash Castings is hiring a full-time Foundry Production Laborer at its Wabash, Indiana location. The starting pay is $19.50 per hour, and the schedule is first shift, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. No prior experience is needed; the company will train the successful candidate. The position involves learning multiple jobs and rotating between them in a team-oriented foundry environment. Work is active and hands-on, with employees standing, lifting parts weighing up to 50 pounds, and working in conditions that can be warm and loud. Safety gear is required, and employees must follow safety rules.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Operate machines that form sand into cores used to shape the inside of metal parts.
• Assemble core pieces, glue and coat them, and remove excess sand.
• Clean and blow out core boxes using air wands and help address minor equipment problems.
• Use hand tools to smooth and clean castings after they come out of molds.
• Load parts into shot blast machines and testing equipment.
• Inspect parts for quality and complete simple paperwork to track work.
• Wear safety gear and follow safety rules.
