About The Position

Farrar Corporation is hiring a Foundry Production Associate to help produce high-quality ductile iron castings and components. The role involves foundry production tasks in a dynamic environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount. The position is located in Norwich, Kansas, and is full-time on the night shift, Sunday through Wednesday, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Starting wage is $18 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in hot or cold and noisy conditions.
• Familiarity with tools, machinery, and safety practices in a foundry setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor foundry equipment, including furnaces, molds, and finishing centers.
• Prepare molds and cores for casting according to specifications.
• Pour molten metal into molds and ensure proper cooling processes.
• Perform quality checks on cast components for defects or inconsistencies.
• Maintain equipment and tools and keep the work environment safe and clean.
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
