About The Position

This is an entry-level General Labor position at a well-established and growing foundry in Norwich, Kansas, with potential for advancement and long-term career growth in the foundry industry. The role provides labor support throughout the foundry and contributes to casting and production. Workers collaborate with professionals in metallurgy and ironwork and gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. The weekend schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The position is advertised as 36 hours of work with pay for 40 hours. Compensation is $18 per hour plus a shift differential. Training is provided in forklift operation, Bobcat operation, foundry work, and equipment.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Lift castings and other materials weighing 25 pounds or more.
Complete required paperwork and quality checks accurately.
Operate multiple machines and heavy equipment.
Assist with furnace relining.
Participate in foundry cleanup and housekeeping duties.
Support production and other departments as needed.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
