About The Position

We're partnering with a well-funded, AI-native healthcare technology company that is replacing 25-year-old radiology software with a modern cloud platform. Backed by top-tier investors and with significant funding, this company has a live product, active users, and is experiencing rapid growth. They are seeking their first dedicated recruiter to own the talent function end-to-end, establish foundational processes, and partner directly with the founder and leadership team on all critical hires. This role offers a unique opportunity to build the recruiting infrastructure from the ground up in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The primary focus will be on engineering roles, with sales and operations hiring to follow as the team expands. The founding recruiter will work directly with the CEO, and every hire made will significantly shape the company's culture and capabilities.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in tech or startups, with experience owning a requisition from first outreach to signed offer.
  • Experience recruiting at early-stage startups (sub-50 employees).
  • Demonstrated ability to hire engineering talent as the primary discipline.
  • Strong outbound sourcing instincts and ability to find niche technical candidates through creative channels.
  • Experience as part of a startup's growth story, having gone through a period of significant team scaling.
  • A warm, high-energy communicator who can effectively sell candidates on the company.
  • Ability to operate independently, make decisions with limited guidance, and move fast without a predefined process.
  • Based in San Francisco and ready to be onsite 5 days/week.

  • Experience in AI & Developer Tool Startups, High-Growth YC & Venture-Backed Startups (sub-100 at time of hire), Healthcare & AI Infrastructure Companies, or Technical Recruiting Agencies with In-House Startup Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle recruiting for engineering roles, including sourcing, screening, coordinating, and closing candidates with a high bar for technical talent.
  • Build outbound sourcing pipelines from scratch using LinkedIn Recruiter, creative channels, and the company's AI platform.
  • Partner directly with the founder and leadership team on all roles, calibrating hiring bars, designing interview loops, and closing top candidates.
  • Build recruiting infrastructure from zero, including intake processes, job descriptions, scorecards, hiring frameworks, and candidate experience standards.
  • Handle sales and operations hiring as the team scales.
  • Develop a clear growth path into People Operations, Talent Leadership, or HR as the function matures.
