About The Position

Duckbill is the execution layer between AI agents and the real world, combining AI with trained human operators to handle tasks requiring phone calls, negotiations, vendor escalations, or persistent follow-up. We are building the B2B2C infrastructure to scale this capability, partnering with large platforms to embed Duckbill into their products and reach millions of users. This role is for the first dedicated sales hire who will take our B2B2C partner motion from early pilots to a scalable engine. This is a hunting role focused on identifying, qualifying, and pursuing new platform partnerships, managing the active pipeline, and building the sales playbook from scratch. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment where they can build processes, work directly with leadership, and have a significant impact on the company's go-to-market strategy.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years in a sales or GTM role (SDR, AE, BDR, partnerships, or hybrid).
  • Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline from scratch through cold outreach.
  • Comfortable selling a category-new product and explaining novel concepts.
  • Native fluency with AI tools, using them daily.
  • Entrepreneurial instinct: ability to identify and build missing components without explicit assignment.
  • Excellent written communication skills, producing natural-sounding outreach.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at an early-stage startup, particularly in developing go-to-market strategies.
  • Background in platform/partnership sales, developer tools, or AI infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with the enterprise deal cycle.
  • Experience with outbound sales tooling such as Clay, Apollo, or HubSpot.

Responsibilities

  • Own outbound prospecting for new platform partners, including research, outreach, qualification, and early-stage relationship development.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of enterprise and mid-market B2B2C targets in sectors such as consumer tech, AI agents, financial services, and HR/benefits.
  • Represent Duckbill in initial meetings and discovery calls, and use insights to refine messaging and targeting.
  • Collaborate directly with the leadership team to advance active deals, including preparing materials, coordinating follow-ups, and assisting with closing.
  • Establish the sales infrastructure, including CRM hygiene, outreach sequences, Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) refinement, collateral development, and template creation.
  • Aggressively utilize AI tools for account research, outreach drafting, call note synthesis, and overall efficiency.
  • Work closely with technology, engineering, and AI engineering teams to effectively communicate the product internally and externally.
  • Provide market intelligence to inform product development and partner positioning.
