About The Position

Variant is building the adaptive web layer for consumer brands. Backed by a16z and top Silicon Valley investors, we’re growing fast and already working with brands like Foot Locker, Wonderskin, and others. We believe the next generation of websites won’t be static - they’ll adapt in real time to every visitor, creating hyper-personalized, deeply immersive experiences that feel built for each person. We’re looking for a Founding GTM to help build Variant’s GTM engine from the ground up. This is not a 'run the playbook' role, you’ll help create it. You’ll sell to leading consumer brands, close new business, build pipeline, sharpen our sales motion, and develop strategic partnerships that accelerate distribution. You’ll work directly with the founders and play a core role in shaping how Variant goes to market.

Requirements

  • A true hunter with a strong track record of opening doors, running sales processes, and closing new business
  • Early-stage DNA - you move fast, create structure from chaos, and don’t wait for a perfect playbook
  • Strong relationship builder who can sell strategically, not just transactionally
  • Excellent discovery, communication, follow-up, and deal discipline
  • High ownership, high urgency, low ego, and serious attention to detail
  • Excited to work directly with founders and help build the GTM function from zero to one

Responsibilities

  • Own sales processes from discovery to close
  • Close new business with leading consumer brands
  • Generate and develop qualified pipeline
  • Build partnerships with agencies, platforms, tech partners, and ecosystem players
  • Partner with the founders on strategic and founder-led deals
  • Bring market feedback into product, positioning, pricing, and GTM strategy
