Founding Product Manager, Growth

Runlayer•New York, NY

About The Position

Runlayer is hiring a Growth Product Manager to make it easier for companies to evaluate the platform, prove its value, and get started. The role focuses on improving the journey from a qualified prospect’s first evaluation to a customer’s first successful deployment. The Product Manager will work directly with prospects and the people helping them buy and deploy Runlayer to identify where progress stalls and ship better experiences. The work spans customer-facing product improvements—including clearer setup, guided evaluations, and faster access to a useful result—and internal tools and AI workflows that help teams prepare evaluations, identify blockers, and reduce repetitive manual work. The role owns the evaluation and onboarding roadmap, collaborates with Design, Engineering, core Product Managers, Sales, and Forward Deployed Engineering, and measures results through data analysis and customer evidence.

Requirements

  • Experience owning onboarding, activation, or conversion for a software product, with the ability to explain the original problem, personal contributions, and results.
  • Experience building internal tools or automations adopted by colleagues, with a working example or clear walkthrough and an explanation of their impact.
  • Ability to combine customer conversations with direct data analysis, investigate a funnel, and recognize when data needs more context.
  • Ability to build working prototypes and use AI tools in daily work, taking ideas far enough to test with real users and collaborating with engineers to make them reliable.
  • Ability to make progress in ambiguous situations, communicate clearly across functions, and continue improving work after launch.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with enterprise SaaS, technical products, or a sales-assisted customer journey.

Responsibilities

  • Own the evaluation and onboarding roadmap, identify barriers between qualified interest, successful evaluation, and initial activation, and prioritize improvements.
  • Join customer evaluations and onboarding sessions to understand buyers’ needs, administrator setup requirements, and where users get stuck.
  • Work with Design, Engineering, and core Product Managers to improve setup, proof of value, and the transition into a working deployment.
  • Prototype and launch internal tools and AI workflows with Sales and Forward Deployed Engineering, turning repeated problems into improvements that work across accounts.
  • Query data, instrument important steps, and assess changes using customer evidence and comparable cohorts.
  • Improve conversion and time to value while reducing manual effort.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity.
  • Paid vacation, paid sick leave, and paid parental leave.
  • Professional development budget for conferences, courses, and certifications in AI, enterprise software, and customer success.
  • Choice of laptop and accessories.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Opportunities to work directly with innovative companies and see the immediate impact of the work.
