About The Position
A rapidly expanding AI-driven legal technology venture is seeking a Founding Attorney to join its leadership team in Northern California, offering the opportunity to work at the intersection of emerging technology, venture capital, and startup law. This role will lead venture financing transactions, counsel startup founders on corporate matters, manage key client relationships, and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to help build and scale an innovative AI-powered legal platform, with a competitive compensation package.
Requirements
- 4+ years of ECVC experience within a top-tier Big Law environment
- Extensive experience handling SAFEs, convertible notes, priced equity rounds, and venture financings from inception through closing
- Strong working knowledge of NVCA documents, YC SAFE instruments, capitalization tables, and equity incentive plans
- Experience advising Delaware C-corporations on formation, governance, and day-to-day corporate matters
- Tech-forward mindset with demonstrated use of AI tools in legal workflows and client service delivery
- Active California Bar admission
- Exceptional communication skills
