About The Position

The Foundation Manager is the key management leader of Lake Huron Medical Center’s Foundation and oversees its administration, programs, strategic plan, and financial viability. The role’s duties include grant writing, developing collaborative partnerships, fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Foundation Governing Board and the Lake Huron Medical Center CEO/Administrator.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; preferably in business, healthcare, or nonprofit management.
• Two or more years of experience in a nonprofit or healthcare setting; management-level leadership preferred.
• Hands-on budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making, and reporting.
• Organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation.
• Ability to convey the Foundation’s vision and mission for its strategic future to staff, board members, volunteers, and donors.
• Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to the nonprofit sector.
• Ability to collaborate with and motivate board members and other volunteers.
• Transparent, high-integrity leadership.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to engage with diverse volunteer and donor groups.
• Ability to oversee and collaborate with staff.
• Public speaking ability.
