About The Position

The Foster Parent Training and Engagement Specialist grows the agency’s foster parent network and serves as its primary ambassador to prospective foster families and the community. The role manages the prospective-family lifecycle, from outreach and eligibility screening through onboarding, pre-service training, licensure, and placement acceptance. It supports improved applicant conversion, reduced licensing-process drop-off, more licensed foster homes, greater placement capacity, and census growth. The position is remote with 50% travel and reports to the Licensing and Recruitment Supervisor. It is grant-funded through Carolina Complete Health; continuation depends on the continued availability of that funding, and the position may be eliminated if funding is reduced, discontinued, or not renewed. There are no supervision responsibilities. The role may require non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.

  • Ability to operate a vehicle for job duties and maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license and insurance.
