About The Position
The Foster Care Case Manager provides case management services to children and families involved in out-of-home care through the court system. The role involves creating and carrying out permanency plans for children in the custody of the Children’s Division. The position is primarily field-based in St. Louis, Missouri, with 1–3 days in the office for supervision and meetings. The ideal candidate understands work with children and brings strong interpersonal and critical-thinking skills. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field.
- Prior experience working with children.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
- Critical-thinking skills to assess situations and make informed decisions in the best interest of the child.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in child welfare.
- Commitment to the well-being and positive development of children.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in foster care or child welfare is advantageous but not mandatory.
