About The Position
As a Forward Deployed AI Scientist at BCG X, you will be part of a rapidly growing team focused on applying data science methods and analytics to real-world business situations across various industries. You will have the opportunity to partner with clients in different BCG regions and industries on key topics like climate change, enabling them to design, build, and deploy new and innovative solutions. The role involves owning the full analytics value-chain end-to-end, from framing business challenges and designing algorithms to implementing and deploying scalable solutions. Additionally, you will contribute to thought leadership through scientific communities and papers, and lead conferences on behalf of BCG X. Successful candidates are intellectually curious, action-oriented, scrappy, and communicative, with a passion for data science, statistics, operations research, and transforming organizations into AI-led innovative companies.
Requirements
- Comfortable in a client-facing role with the ambition to lead teams.
- Ability to distill complex results or processes into simple, clear visualizations.
- Ability to explain sophisticated data science concepts in an understandable manner.
- Comfortable working with modern development tools and writing code collaboratively.
- Significant experience applying advanced analytics to a variety of business situations.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex data.
- Deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical underpinnings, and can translate this into business implications for our clients.
- Strong project management skills.
- Python programming language proficiency.
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of your home office.
- Expected to be in the office as directed.
- Requires extended working hours at times.
- Work often requires travel to client sites.

Responsibilities
- Own the full analytics value-chain end to end: framing new business challenges, designing innovative algorithms, implementing, and deploying scalable solutions.

- Partner with clients in a variety of BCG regions and industries, and on key topics like climate change, enabling them to design, build, and deploy new and innovative solutions.
- Develop and deliver thought leadership in scientific communities and papers.
- Lead conferences on behalf of BCG X.
