About The Position

BCG X is a diverse team of over 3,000 tech experts focused on making a difference by tackling society's biggest challenges through innovative solutions. We leverage BCG's global network to build game-changing businesses, products, and services. As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer, you will be part of our growing engineering team, helping to build the next generation of AI solutions. You will partner with clients across various BCG regions and industries on key topics like climate change, enabling them to design, build, and deploy innovative solutions. This role also involves developing thought leadership, publishing scientific papers, and leading conferences on behalf of BCG X. We are seeking individuals passionate about software development, large-scale data analytics, and transforming organizations into AI-led innovative companies.

Requirements

  • Students currently pursuing a full-time Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree and graduating between December 2026 - August 2027.
  • Passion for software development, large-scale data analytics and transforming organizations into AI led innovative companies.
  • Programming Languages: Python

Responsibilities

  • Own the full analytics value-chain end to end: framing new business challenges, designing innovative algorithms, implementing, and deploying scalable solutions, and enabling colleagues and clients to fully embrace AI.
  • Develop and deliver thought leadership in scientific communities and papers.
  • Lead conferences on behalf of BCG X.
  • Apply software development practices and standards to develop robust and maintainable software.
  • Be actively involved in every part of the software development life cycle.
  • Guide non-technical teams and consultants in best practices for robust software development.
  • Optimize and enhance computational efficiency of algorithms and software design.
  • Interact directly with clients on new features for future product releases.
  • Collaborate in teams to share software design and solution ideas.
