About The Position

The Forklift Truck Driver is responsible for operating battery powered lift equipment in a safe and efficient manner, along with handheld scanning devices to manage placement of inventory within a warehouse environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Forklift License
1-3 years Reach truck experience preferred
1-3 years Counterbalance fork truck operator experience preferred
3-5 years Warehouse Operations experience preferred
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment with a focus on meeting deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret paperwork.
Maintain consistent, dependable attendance
Basic personal computer skills that include the ability to send/receive email messages, post information to a database or spreadsheet, and perform basic word processing, bookkeeping, and/or data entry

Responsibilities

Operates a variety of battery powered lift equipment to receive, put away, replenish, and load inventory within a distribution warehouse.
Assist with physical inventory to maintain accuracy of product in warehouse.
Provide routine general maintenance on lift equipment: nightly charging of unit batteries, watering, checking for wear, and requesting service on inoperable equipment.
