FORKLIFT/REACH TRUCK OPERATOR

About The Position

FITT USA is hiring a skilled, safety-conscious Forklift/Reach Truck Operator for its warehouse shipping and receiving team at a manufacturing facility producing garden hoses. The operator will use reach trucks and other equipment to move materials and support warehouse operations, including loading and unloading shipments and order picking. The role requires adherence to safety standards and warehouse practices, accurate execution of instructions, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This is a third-shift position, Sunday through Thursday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Requirements

More than one year of forklift experience.
More than one year of reach truck experience.
At least one year of familiarity with order-picking processes and warehouse management systems.
At least one year of experience with scanners and computer proficiency rated 3 or 4 on a 1-to-5 scale, with 5 representing advanced proficiency.
Knowledge of equipment operation and ability to follow safety standards.
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and reach trucks to transport materials safely within the warehouse.
Load and unload shipments and place goods safely and accurately.
Pick items accurately according to customer orders.
Inspect equipment regularly to confirm proper functioning and safety compliance.
Report equipment issues and maintenance needs promptly.
Help maintain an organized, clean work environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve workflow and operational efficiency.
