About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring a Forklift Operator in Spencer, Iowa. The operator safely uses sit-down lift trucks to transport, stack, and organize products in the RDC, and supports receiving, shipping, put-away, picking, inventory management, and warehouse cleanliness. The role uses scanning equipment to move products accurately and on time, maintains product integrity, reports and addresses damage or shortages, and follows safety procedures. Regular communication and collaboration with team members and supervisors are expected, as are punctuality and reliable attendance.

The shift is 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Pay is $17.25 per hour, plus a $1-per-hour weekly attendance bonus. Weekly pay is offered, with direct deposit and debit card payment options. Overtime is available.

Requirements

• Able to lift 30 pounds unassisted.
• Previous forklift experience required by the requirements section.
• Able to work independently.
• Able to work in the United States.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down lift trucks to transport, stack, and organize products within the RDC.
• Load and unload trucks; receive and process products; put away and pick product; and maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Use scanning equipment to ensure accurate and timely product movement toward operational goals.
• Support inventory management by following Southshore Companies policies and procedures.
• Identify, report, and fix damages and inventory shortages throughout the day.
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols while operating lift trucks.
• Report equipment malfunctions and participate in regular safety training.
• Maintain product integrity during handling and transportation.
• Collaborate with team members to meet quality standards.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance.
