About The Position

The Forklift Operator safely transports large truck bodies and components throughout the manufacturing facility, including moving finished bodies offline and delivering them to the next department in the production process. The role supports smooth workflow and helps prevent production delays. The ideal candidate has strong spatial awareness, attention to safety, and experience handling oversized loads in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of forklift operating experience; experience handling large or oversized items is preferred.
• Valid forklift certification, or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Ability to read and understand job instructions and production schedules.
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience handling large or oversized items.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move large truck bodies and parts.
• Transport finished bodies safely from the assembly area to the next stage of manufacturing, such as paint, hoist, or shipping.
• Ensure loads are secure and properly balanced to prevent damage and safety risks.
• Conduct pre-shift forklift inspections and immediately report maintenance issues.
• Coordinate material movement and task priorities with supervisors, crew leads, and production personnel.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations related to forklift operation.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
