About The Position

Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator for its Rtns / Non Conform Department at the Byhalia, Mississippi Distribution Center. The operator is responsible for picking and loading freight securely and correctly, while ensuring work is completed safely and promptly. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience driving a reach or sit-down forklift and a walkie rider.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach overhead, and stand or walk for up to four hours at a time.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is desirable.
• Warehouse Management System experience is desired; HighJump experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Drive cherry picker, reach, and sit-down forklift equipment with lifting devices to push, pull, stack, or move products.
• Check the assigned forklift at the beginning of the shift to ensure it is functional.
• Obtain documents from a supervisor or lead person that indicate work assignment priorities.
• Review reports, orders, and customer instructions to ensure products are handled properly.
• Monitor assigned warehouse areas for damaged products or pallets.
• Maintain production standards.
• Work in a team environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Team.
