Forklift Operator
About The Position
JC Pallet is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for its Bladenboro, North Carolina facility. The role operates a forklift efficiently and safely in a production setting and requires following written and verbal job instructions, providing feedback, and applying critical thinking. Employees work in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery, fast-paced forklift traffic, machine noise, and conditions that vary by season. Personal safety equipment must be used. The operator supports production by supplying employees with what they need at their workstations, moving pallet stacks, assisting other forklift operators, and loading and unloading dry van trailers. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 7 a.m. and continuing until at least 3 p.m.; hours may end earlier or later. Some Saturday work may be required.
Requirements
- Experienced forklift operator.
- Ability to operate a forklift efficiently and safely in a production setting.
- Ability to follow written and verbal job instructions.
- Ability to provide feedback and apply critical thinking.
- Ability to use personal safety equipment while working in a manufacturing environment.
- Frequent lifting and bending of items weighing no more than 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Ensure other employees have the supplies they need at their workstations throughout the day.
- Move stacks of pallets into and out of the building.
- Assist other forklift operators when needed.
- Load and unload dry van trailers.
- Operate the forklift efficiently and safely in a production setting.
- Follow written and verbal job instructions and provide feedback as needed.
