About The Position

The Forklift Operator oversees loading and unloading materials using a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. The role includes maintaining a clean and safe work environment and identifying discrepancies between received loads and their manifests. The operator handles warehouse materials, stages freight, supports drivers, and follows detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accurate and timely work and compliance with TSA and OSHA guidelines.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous warehouse experience preferred; one year of experience is specified.
Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding or shrink-wrap material.
Experience using an RF scan gun required.
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
Ability to work well with others, including with little supervision.
High attention to detail.
Ability to lift more than 50 pounds unassisted.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Ability to work overtime as needed and occasional weekends.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend, and lift objects above the head.

Nice To Haves

Previous forklift certifications preferred.
Previous warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Use manifests to pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
Perform material-handling duties such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting as applicable, and counting products.
Complete work accurately and on time, including packaging and system tasks.
Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment, including compliance with TSA and OSHA guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
