About The Position

DHL Continental Hannon is hiring a Forklift Operator. The role involves operating powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products. The operator checks inbound and outbound products to ensure they are free from damage and infestation, product code dates are recorded correctly, and products meet customer requirements. The position lists shifts of 6 a.m.–2 p.m. and 11 a.m.–7 p.m., Monday through Friday, at a wage of $23.50.

Requirements

Forklift operation experience of at least six months.
A forklift operator certificate, or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Six months of warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other powered equipment for 80% of the specified shift.
Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded.
Maintain appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
Verify load accuracy, including count, stability, and product condition, and report variances as necessary.
Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as necessary.
Keep facility equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly.
Assist with physical inventories.
Complete daily equipment inspections.
Check inbound and outbound products for damage and infestation, record product code dates properly, and ensure products meet customer requirements.
