About The Position

Stratas Foods is seeking a Forklift Operator for their Production area. This role is responsible for various material handling tasks, general housekeeping, and operating a forklift. The company is a 50/50 joint venture formed in October 2008 between ACH Food Companies and Archer Daniels Midland Company, specializing in fats and oils solutions for Food Service, Food Ingredient, and Retail sectors. Requirements

Must be trained and certified on the forklift
Trained and able to demonstrate hazardous chemical handling
Proficient in the operation of the stretch wrappers
Must be proficient with a forklift on all operations lines
Must demonstrate the ability to complete and make changes to pick sheets
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous relevant experience - preferably in a manufacturing environment
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights

Responsibilities

General housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.)
Sample retrieval
Power washing
Lifting and hauling items up and down stairs
Dump rework
Operate a motorized fork lift and a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Load trucks in the prescribed manner
Communicate with visitors and customers in a professional manner
Basic operational knowledge of roll up doors
Understand the inventory procedure
Pallet transfer operations
Reconcile finished product
