About The Position

Stratas Foods is seeking experienced Forklift Operators to move pallets of products, equipment, and materials using sit-down electric and propane-powered forklifts. The work must be performed with safety as a primary objective and in accordance with established GMP, safety, regulatory, and company procedures and policies. The position is based in Fresno and pays $19.44 per hour. The role also involves picking customer orders, supplying workers with materials, inspecting trailers, and loading and unloading trucks and trailers. Employees must be willing to train in Shipping, Receiving, Take-off, Palletizing, and Shuttling.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of sit-down electric and propane-powered forklifts.
Ability to push, pull, stack, tier, and move pallets of products, equipment, or materials.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights.
Good sight and hearing.
Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Operate a forklift by moving levers and pressing pedals to drive and control the lifting apparatus.
Position forks under loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transport loads to designated areas.
Raise and lower lifting devices to unload and stack materials.
Follow GMP and safety guidelines.
Pick customer orders as required.
Inventory material on the work floor and supply workers with needed materials.
Inspect trailers before loading and unloading products and document inspections on paper forms.
Load and unload trucks and trailers.
Drive into bays to enter or exit pallets of product, up to four tiers high.
Be willing to train in Shipping, Receiving, Take-off, Palletizing, and Shuttling.
