About The Position

The Forklift Operator works in PepsiCo’s foods warehouse in Beloit, Wisconsin, moving pallets of products such as Lay’s, Doritos, and Cheetos using forklifts and warehouse technology. The role supports inventory flow to stores and includes loading, unloading, storing, and picking product. Training and certification are provided on the job through hands-on and classroom instruction. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that involves being on the go for most of the shift and regularly lifting, bending, and moving product. Work takes place in an environment that may include extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous or loud equipment, and slippery surfaces. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Work weekends, holidays, and off shifts.
Be able to lift 15 to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to stand and walk for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be willing and able to work at heights using ladders or lifts to access areas of the plant.
Be willing and able to work in an environment with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous or loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a forklift after training and certification.
Load and unload product pallets to and from trailers.
Safely place and store product in multi-tiered warehouse storage.
Pick the appropriate cases for orders using required technology.
Manage warehouse inventory using handheld scanners and Inventory Control Systems.
Complete general housekeeping and sanitation tasks as needed, such as sweeping, cleaning trailers, and taking out trash.
