About The Position

The Forklift Operator loads, stores, and picks pallets of PepsiCo food products using forklifts and warehouse technology to keep inventory moving to stores. The role includes operating a forklift after training and certification, loading and unloading trailers, storing product in multi-tier warehouse storage, picking cases to fulfill orders, managing inventory with handheld scanners and Inventory Control Systems, and completing housekeeping and sanitation tasks as needed. Hands-on and classroom training are provided. The position is based in Beloit, Wisconsin, and is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. It is a fast-paced, hands-on role that involves lifting, bending, and moving product throughout the shift.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be able to lift 15 to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to stand and walk for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be willing and able to work at heights using ladders or lifts to access plant areas.
Be willing and able to work in extreme temperatures, humidity, and around hazardous or loud equipment and slippery surfaces.
Work weekends, holidays, and off shifts.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a forklift after training and certification.
Load and unload product pallets to and from trailers.
Place and store product safely in multi-tiered warehouse storage.
Pick the appropriate cases according to orders using required technology.
Manage warehouse inventory using handheld scanners and Inventory Control Systems.
Complete general housekeeping and sanitation tasks as needed, such as sweeping, cleaning trailers, and taking out trash.
