About The Position

Stratas Foods is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to handle pallets, products, equipment, and materials safely and in accordance with established GMP, safety, regulatory, and company procedures. The role requires extensive knowledge of sit-down electric and propane-powered forklifts. The hourly pay rate is $19.44. The position is full time and includes medical, dental, and vision benefits.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of sit-down electric and propane-powered forklifts.
Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights.
Good sight and hearing.
Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Operate forklift controls to drive the truck and move the lifting apparatus.
Position forks beneath loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transport them to designated areas.
Raise and lower lifting devices to unload and stack materials.
Follow GMP and safety guidelines and company procedures.
Pick customer orders as required.
Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with needed materials.
Inspect trailers before loading or unloading product and document inspections on paper forms.
Load and unload trucks and trailers.
Drive into bays to enter or exit pallets of product stacked up to four tiers high.
Be willing to train in Shipping, Receiving, Take-off, Palletizing, and Shuttling.
