About The Position

R+L Carriers is hiring a part-time Forklift Operator at its Springfield, Illinois service center. The role involves safely moving various types of freight into and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long. The operator works on a roofed, non-climate-controlled dock. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at an hourly rate of $24.01. Paid time off is available after the first 90 calendar days of employment.

Requirements

• Must be able to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to read manifests.
• Ability to read and interact with a computer display.
• Forklift experience.
• Must be dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous forklift experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Some LTL experience.
