About The Position

The Forklift Operator moves materials, parts, assemblies, finished products, and other goods within a plant, office, or warehouse using equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks. The role may include maintaining records. The operator performs routine tasks using prescribed steps, follows standard operating procedures and quality guidelines, and works under general to limited supervision.

This position is located in Madison, Georgia, and works the first shift Tuesday through Saturday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The listed pay rate is $20 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0 to 1 year of warehouse or related experience and/or training.
• Basic skills training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process area, such as material handling and management, logistics, or manufacturing production.
• Effective communication skills sufficient to communicate with coworkers and a Team Lead or Supervisor.
• Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to work in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and/or moving over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine tasks according to prescribed steps, standard operating procedures, and quality guidelines.
• Obtain and/or maintain appropriate licenses, training, or certifications as needed.
